Melaleuca Refugee Centre is delivering employment services as part of the Culture: Diversity from the Inside Out program.
Government employment services
Refugees who receive Centrelink payments are also supported by Workforce Australia or, if they receive a disability payment, by JobAccess.
These are funded by the Commonwealth government to provided free and generalised employment services to help people find work.
Some companies provide services to high numbers of refugee job seekers, including APM.

Work experience: government English language programs
Some refugees participate in the Settlement Language Pathways to Employment and Training (SLPET), which is part of the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP). SLPET includes a work experience component.
